Massage Therapy Program

Our 900 hour Massage Therapy Program exceeds state licensing requirements in order to incorporate training that allows graduates to enter the career field with confidence that their training has prepared them for work in a spa, medical clinic or open a private practice.  This program not only prepares students to take the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEx) but gives extensive training in Orthopedic Assessment and Massage.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a quality education for individuals wanting to pursue a career in Massage Therapy.  We strive to improve the Massage Therapy industry by equipping students to graduate with top-level abilities in the field of manual therapy, making entry-level graduates an asset to the industry and any organization they choose to join.

Our Instructor

Amy Cottrell has been a NCBTMB Board Certified Licensed Massage Therapist in Kentucky since 2007.  She is Certified in Orthopedic Massage and has been a Teaching Assistant for Orthopedic Massage for over a decade and is a Continuing Education Provider for Orthopedic Massage.  She also taught Leadership Courses while serving in the US Army as well as in the Kentucky Army National Guard.  She was a Student Instructor for Human Anatomy while earning her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at Indiana University Southeast.  She has a passion for education and for the Massage Therapy industry and is combining these passions to  ensure students KNOW the information and graduate with extensive knowledge to enter the Massage Therapy field with confidence and competence.

What Sets Us Apart

Extensive Training:  The Kentucky Board of Licensure for Massage Therapy currently requires a 600-hour basic Massage Therapy education program and 12 hours per year of Continuing Education.  Our Massage Therapy Program is 900 hours and far exceeds the standard.  (That is 25 years worth of extra education.)  This program is designed for the student that is not satisfied with basic knowledge.  We are looking for students that strive for excellence.  We go beyond the basics and ensure students are trained in Orthopedic Massage as well as therapeutic/relaxation.  Massage Therapists should be the "Soft Tissue Specialists" and we are here to help you earn that title.  We teach our students how to properly assess and treat common soft-tissue injuries pain-free as well as how to help clients reduce stress and tension in their life.  Students get extensive hands-on training so that when they graduate, they are comfortable working with a variety of clients' needs.

Personalized Training:  We keep our classes small (no more than 15 students) to ensure students get customized training based on their learning style.  We incorporate personal and professional development into our training because we understand the importance of personal skills (communication, personalities, conflict resolution, etc) when working with others.  Our goal is to give our students a complete paradigm shift and help them be a better version of themselves.

All-Inclusive Tuition: Our program tuition is designed so that students know, up front, what this training will cost.  We incorporate all extra fees into our tuition to include testing fess, books, CPR Certification, etc. (Download our catalog for more information) and we offer financing for those that need it.
